SHIPPING

Your coffee will arrive fresh at your door within 24-48 hours. We know how important freshness is. We also understand that coffee orders are often urgent. Our system aims to deliver the freshest coffee to our customers as quickly as possible. We generally prepare orders within 24 hours or less, but this is also influenced by shipping and roasting schedules.

Our shipments are sent from Tuesday to Saturday (until noon) with your selected carrier. Shipments may vary on official holidays and days off.

If you placed an online order, we will first send you your order number, and you will receive another email when your order is dispatched. If 48 hours have passed and you haven’t received any updates from us, please contact us.

RETURNS

Since coffee is a food product, we unfortunately do not accept exchanges or returns. However, your satisfaction is very important to us! If there’s an issue with your coffee or your order, please contact us within 1 week at orders@petracoffee.com.

We can process returns for damaged or incorrect items received. However, please do not accept a package if it shows any damage on the box, and inform the courier of the situation! Online orders can only be exchanged online. Please email us a photo of the item you wish to exchange, along with the reason for the exchange, at orders@petracoffee.com. Please note that we cannot refund shipping fees.

Exchanges are only possible for coffee; we do not accept exchanges for other products or equipment. However, if you prefer, we can keep your payment for a future purchase (only at petracoffee.com).

COFFEE

Our coffees are generally roasted light/medium. We import the highest quality green beans and roast them to highlight the unique character of each coffee. All our coffees are single origin. Including our own sub-brand Acme, all our coffees come from the best coffee of the season. Petra does not offer blends.

We do not add any extra flavors to our coffee. We roast our coffees to different profiles and use tasting notes to determine each coffee's unique character. Please do not worry if you do not taste the flavors listed, such as strawberry, red plum, or cocoa. The flavors are subjective. Consider what you like. For example, are you looking for sharp flavors or a coffee you can drink like tea? This is why we produced Acme for you. You can also read the details of each coffee on our website.

We recommend purchasing your coffee as whole beans, but if you don’t have a grinder and are considering buying one, you can visit our Store. Until then, you can select the grind option according to your machine on our website. Ground coffee stales quickly, so if you buy it ground, we recommend consuming it as soon as possible.

Store your coffee in an airtight and dry place. The best way to store coffee (as whole beans, not ground) is in a good coffee jar, in a dark and dry place. If you don’t have such a container, you can store it comfortably in the package you received before and after use. We do not recommend placing it in the refrigerator or freezer. Each time you take coffee out of the freezer, it may cause moisture to form on the beans, leading to unwanted mold and spoilage.

Additionally, this will change the taste of the coffee. Therefore, when choosing a storage container (like a coffee jar or a pickle jar), pick a place away from sharp-smelling and tasting foods, spices, etc., as this can alter the taste of your coffee.

Our coffees are packed fresh! You can keep your whole beans sealed for up to 90 days from the roasting date, but once you open the box, it should be consumed within 2-4 weeks for best results. Our new packaging offers the best storage option for you. You can see the roasting date on the package and adjust your timing accordingly.

Like other products, coffees are seasonal! Our coffee menus may change according to seasons. Since we get the freshest and best coffees from the best farms of the season, you might not see a particular coffee on our shelves for a year. But don’t worry, better ones are always coming!

Most of our coffees come directly from farms and are exclusively available to us in Turkey. We take coffee sourcing very seriously. Our approach to coffee sourcing is called Direct Trade, which means we have very close relationships with our coffee providers, and some of our coffees are organically certified. Even though not all of our coffees are organically certified, pesticide use is very rare among the producers we work with. Even if they have to use such treatments in extraordinary circumstances, many farms do not need this as they are located in fertile soils. Small (micro) farms may practice organic farming but avoid the certification process due to its expense. For coffees with organic certification, we indicate this on the package. Our coffees are not Kosher certified. However, our coffees never come into contact with any other food products during processing, roasting, or packaging. Additionally, no flavoring agents are added to our coffees. Our coffees are not genetically modified. They are made from varieties and their sub-varieties produced by farmers for years, such as 'heirloom, bourbon, caturra, catuai'. When sourcing coffee, we consider both the presence of Arabica varieties and the application of traditional agricultural processing methods.

All our coffees are gluten-free. We do not add any gluten products during roasting or Cold Brew preparation. However, we cannot guarantee that no gluten was produced at any point before the coffee reaches us.

We are confident that there will be no issues, as we communicate with our coffee supplier team and coffee experts. However, Petra Roasting Co. does not have a Gluten-Free Certification.

COLD BREW

Cold Brew has a shelf life and should be kept refrigerated! Please keep your Cold Brew in the fridge. The shelf life of Cold Brew is 90 days. If you have opened the box, we recommend consuming it within 2-3 days. You can consume Cold Brews purchased from our website or stores within 90 days without opening the bottle.

To easily make your own Cold Brew: Try Petra Ultra Easy Cold Brew.

TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

We offer free public cuppings at our Gayrettepe HQ. You can follow these on our Instagram account.

We also organize workshops for teams of at least 4 people. You can view details and purchase tickets here.

Cupping is a way to taste coffee. Our cuppings offer a unique experience. Much like wine tasting, we describe the story, aromas, and flavor profiles of each bean. We do not take reservations for cuppings, so we recommend arriving a bit early to find a spot. To ensure the best experience, we can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. The event lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

PRIVATE EVENTS

We provide coffee catering or workshop services for your events. If you want to reach out for a special event, please send an email with all the details to hello@petracoffee.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you want to give coffee as a gift at your events, we can also arrange that! Please contact us via email with the details.
